Consulting. Engineering. AI. Impact. Four words that describe how Tallence advises business leaders, builds technology, and applies AI, all with one outcome in mind: creating value for the organizations we work with. SZ Institut of Süddeutsche Zeitung has named Tallence AG one of Germany's "Most Innovative Companies" for the second consecutive year. The 2026 recognition, awarded in cooperation with Creditreform, is based on a comparison of 2,753 companies. We are proud of this recognition. It belongs to colleagues who bring judgment, creativity, and technical expertise to demanding challenges, and to the collaboration with clients and partners that makes progress possible. It also provides an opportunity to articulate our perspective on innovation. A new capability becomes valuable when it changes what a business can achieve: a better customer experience, greater commercial flexibility, more effective operations, or a new service. Getting there takes connected decisions across strategy, organization, and technology.

From Ambition to Execution

Consulting: making transformation a business discipline

Transformation starts with an ambition. Leadership may want to enter a market, improve margins, modernize a core platform, or introduce AI into customer-facing services. The task is to translate that ambition into a program the organization can execute.

That requires decisions about priorities, investment, operating models, and accountability. What must change first? Which dependencies could undermine the business case? Who owns the outcome when delivery crosses functions, platforms, and external partners?

Tallence's Business & Architecture Transformation Advisory work addresses these questions. We help clients shape programs, assess their readiness for delivery, and establish the architecture and governance needed to move forward. During execution, we examine whether scope, decisions, and progress remain aligned with the intended business outcome. Where programs encounter difficulties, we help identify the causes and define a credible route to recovery.

„Programs rarely lose their value in the strategy or in the build. They lose it in the translation between the two. Someone has to own that translation - and keep the business case alive until it pays back,”

says Matthias Krohnen, Chief Transformation Officer at Tallence AG.

Our engineering and operational expertise brings practical depth to this advisory role. Integration dependencies, data quality, platform constraints, and delivery capacity can be considered while choices are still being made. Clients gain a partner who can connect the program's direction with the work required to deliver it.

From Potential to Production

AI: shaping business capabilities, with the foundations to sustain them

AI adds new possibilities to the transformation agenda. It can change how customers access services, how employees use information, and how decisions move through an organization.

The leadership question is where those capabilities can create meaningful value and what must change to realize it.

We approach AI through three connected considerations: the business opportunity, technical feasibility, and organizational readiness. A promising application needs appropriate data, access to relevant systems, and clear responsibility for its actions. Its introduction may also require changes to workflows, roles, and controls.

Tallence connects AI advisory with data expertise and engineering to address these requirements. Knowledge graphs can provide connected business context. Identity and access management establishes who or what may act. Integration, testing, and operational design help new applications become dependable parts of the business.

These foundations are particularly relevant as organizations explore agentic AI. Greater autonomy makes it essential to define the information an agent can use, the decisions it can make, and the point at which human review is required.

Innovation in Practice

THOR Voice AI: connecting AI innovation with a commercial opportunity

THOR Voice AI demonstrates how these disciplines come together. In 2026, the platform received the BIG BANG INNOVATION Award in the Communication Innovation category, presented by the German Institute for Service Quality and DUP UNTERNEHMER.

THOR enables telecommunications operators to integrate AI-powered voice services into their network and business environments while retaining control over service logic, data, and operations.

For operators, this creates a foundation for developing services for their own customers. The commercial proposition and engineering are inseparable: a service must fit the customer relationship, connect with existing systems, and operate within defined policies.

THOR brings industry knowledge, applied AI, and integration expertise to that challenge. It illustrates our ambition to develop technology around the conditions under which a business can use it.

Trust & Collaboration

Collaboration that advances responsible innovation

Tallence's memberships in Bitkom and TM Forum connect us with national and international communities across the digital economy. They provide opportunities to exchange perspectives and work with others on challenges that extend beyond a single organization.

Our contribution to the TM Forum Catalyst "Trusted Agentic AI for Access Management" is one example. Alongside Deutsche Telekom, Vodafone, Celfocus, and GIP Exyr, Tallence helped demonstrate how AI-assisted interpretation of policies can connect with controlled access decisions and auditable processes. Tallence contributed the Digital Identity Management layer.

The demonstration explored a practical question: how can organizations use AI to accelerate change while retaining oversight and accountability? Its relevance extends to any business considering AI in an environment where access, trust, and operational control matter.

From Delivery to Business Value

Impact: the measure that connects our work

The business context differs across industries, and so does the pressure to change. Telecommunications operators are modernizing charging and legacy platforms while their networks keep running. Banks and insurers are delivering DORA programs and preparing for the EU AI Act on aging core systems. Retailers, logistics companies, and manufacturers are working to bring run costs and time to market under control with modern cloud platforms. Across all of them, AI initiatives need a reliable path from pilot to production. Understanding those differences is the starting point for meaningful advice.

The connection across our work is the discipline of turning priorities into capabilities and keeping the intended outcome visible throughout delivery. Business Transformation & Advisory establishes direction and accountability. Engineering creates and integrates the capabilities. AI opens up opportunities to redesign services and processes. Impact is the measure against which these choices must be assessed.

That perspective guides how we deepen existing partnerships and bring our expertise to more industries. The renewed SZ Institut recognition encourages us to continue this work.

One question will remain central: what needs to happen between an agreed strategy and day-to-day operations for the expected business value to materialize? We will examine that question more closely in the coming weeks.
