With our new blog format “People Behind Tallence”, we provide exciting insights into the people behind the Tallence logo. We would like to present the diverse professions at Tallence and show what is important in the various specialist areas. What does the day-to-day work of our colleagues look like? What excites them about their job? How do projects and collaboration with our customers work? And what path did they take to get to where they are today - and where do they still want to go?
All this and more is the focus of the People Behind Tallence blog articles.
This time we spoke to Christina Nöhrnberg, who works as a Senior Consultant and Project Manager at Tallence.
In an interview with Nicole Schröder, Head of Field Marketing, Christina talks about what she particularly likes about her work, how she came to Tallence and the challenges she repeatedly encounters in projects - an exchange about agile working, dynamic project requirements and the importance of teamwork.
Christina, thank you for taking the time to talk to us! Let's get straight into it: why don't you briefly introduce yourself - who are you and what do you do at Tallence?
Christina:
I'm a Senior Consultant and Project Manager at Tallence. In my role, I support teams in making their processes more efficient, whether in agile or traditional project management. I also contribute my experience in the fields of digital marketing and e-commerce and help our customers to successfully implement their digital strategies.
So, what first brought you to Tallence?
Christina:
From the wide range of IT consulting companies out there, Tallence AG convinced me with more than just the personal and professional interviews during the application process. When I visited the Hamburg office for the first time, I thought: You could feel right at home here. It wasn't just the foosball table, the generously filled fruit basket or the wide range of drinks on offer, but also the modern offices and the ‘new work’ mentality that impressed me. Working in an environment that is constantly looking ahead and integrating new technologies and methods was just as exciting for me as the opportunity to gain experience in different industries.
That sounds like an inspiring first impression! Is there a personal motto or values that guide you in your daily work?
Christina:
I don't really have a personal motto. But I like the fact that everyone here at Tallence operates by the same philosophy: ‘Together we create value in the digital landscape.’ I firmly believe that teamwork and mutual support are the key to success. Everyone here is on a first-name basis and values such as integrity, respect and customer focus are essential for everyone here.
What skills do you bring to Tallence in particular? What does your name stand for in the company?
Christina:
I represent a wide range of areas of expertise, including agile and classic project management, process management and requirements management. I also have extensive experience in digital marketing and e-commerce. This also inspired my secret passion for customer journey mapping. And depending on the task, I support teams as an Agile Coach and SCRUM Master in optimising their working methods and achieving their goals efficiently.
What strengths or skills do you bring to your work that may not be immediately visible?
Christina:
In addition to my technical skills, I have a strong empathy for the needs of customers and can work well with different people. This helps me to not only look at the technical and number-driven aspects of a project, but also the interpersonal factors that are crucial for success.
What makes your working environment particularly exciting for you?
Christina:
I like the dynamic, diversity and constant development of almost everything: market and customer requirements, technologies and also the way people work together. The opportunity to work in interdisciplinary teams and develop long-term solutions together is particularly exciting for me. Monotony is certainly not for me. I like the fact that no two days are the same and that there are always new challenges to overcome. It's like swimming in the rapid current of change, surrounded by new technologies, methods and innovations. It will also be exciting to see what additional influence AI will have on my everyday work life and the future.
If you had to describe Tallence in three words, what would they be?
Christina:
Innovative, collaborative, dynamic.
There are challenges in every project - which ones do you encounter again and again?
Christina:
It's usually always the same. In every project, for example, there is sudden time pressure, abruptly changing requirements and, in any case, always the need to reconcile different stakeholders. It is a challenge to maintain a balance between time, costs and quality and to ensure that everyone involved in the project is on the same page. This requires flexibility and a proactive approach to ensure that we achieve the project goals. You can structure and plan as much as you like, but often reality has other plans. I, for one, have never been able to manage a project exactly according to the textbook. But that's exactly what makes it all the more interesting from my point of view.
Christina, thank you very much for the interesting interview! I wish you all the best for the future and look forward to our next exchange!
Christina:
You're very welcome, thank you very much! See you soon!
